Vinegar Containing Dietary Supplement and Dental Erosion: A Case Report

At present, people are more concerning their health and have tendency to consume more dietary supplements. One kind of them which contains vinegar claims as cellular supplements by increasing oxygen in the body cells levels. Acidic property of vinegar possibly correlated with dental erosion and affected human health as well.

A case of patient with dental erosion is reported. History of high dose consuming of vinegar contained dietary supplement for a period of time is found. The patient’s dietary supplement were tested in laboratory to study pH level and erosive effect on tooth enamel. Therefore, dentist should realize of dietary supplement that might affect to oral health and provide suitable dental management.
