Vital Pulp Therapy in Cariously Exposed Permanent Teeth

Vital pulp therapy is a treatment that promotes healing of pulp tissue around an exposure site. There are four techniques including indirect pulp capping, direct pulp capping, partial pulpotomy, and full coronal pulpotomy. Indications and processes of each technique are different. Factors that affect success of treatment are age of patient, pulp status, bleeding from pulp, material used and bacterial contamination.
