Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers can be considered as one alternative when dealing with esthetic treatment for anterior teeth such as masking of tooth discolorations, diastema closure, improving appearance of localized enamel defects and altered contour and alignment. Advantages of porcelain veneers are combined from advantages of porcelains which refined esthetics and natural looking together with advantage in adhesion of resin cement helping conservative tooth substrate. Appropriate patient selection, treatment planning, proper design with meticulous attention to the detail before, during and after treatment will make the best restoration with good esthetics. Understanding of the limitations and potential drawbacks of the veneers must be always kept in mind and explained to the patients. Ensuring carefully usage of the veneers and home care instructions are essential for longterm success.
