Fabrications of Acrylic Resin Provisional Restorations
Fabricating provisional restorations is one of the very important steps in crown and fixed partial denture treatment process. The provisional restoration contours are excellent example for fabricating the definite restorations. They also can be used to evaluate soft tissue health, patient cleaning ability and satisfaction. Making proper provisional restorations can promote healthy teeth and periodontium, facilitate the seating and reduce adjustment time of the definite restorations. The use of provisional restorations can help both dentists and patients to evaluate treatment plan, function and esthetic outcome prior to construction of definite restorations.
